Milk cake, also known as kalakand, is a popular Indian sweet made from milk and sugar. It is often flavored with cardamom and garnished with chopped nuts.

Preparation:

The process begins with boiling milk until it reduces significantly. Once it thickens, lemon juice or vinegar is added to curdle the milk, resulting in chenna (fresh cheese).

After draining the whey, the chenna is cooked with sugar until it forms a dough-like consistency. It is then spread onto a tray, allowed to set, and cut into pieces.

Serving: Milk cake is often served during festivals and celebrations, symbolizing joy and sweetness.
